Children can be at risk of harm from adverse cold weather, ice and snow. Keeping Children Safe
- Warm Clothing: Provide layers, hats, gloves, and waterproof footwear. Have spare items available for children who may need them.
- Outdoor Play: Fresh air is still important! Short, supervised outdoor sessions are fine if children are dressed appropriately.
- Indoor Warmth: Check that indoor spaces remain warm and ventilated. Avoid drafts and ensure heating is working effectively.
- Health & Safety: Watch for signs of children feeling cold or unwell; Hypothermia - NHS. Promptly address any concerns and inform parents if necessary.
