At Brockley Primary School, we are committed to preparing children for life in modern Britain. Through our curriculum, wider opportunities and daily interactions, we actively promote the fundamental British Values of:

Pupils develop an understanding of democracy through opportunities to contribute to decision-making, including School Council, pupil leadership roles, class discussions and pupil voice activities. They learn about the rule of law through our behaviour expectations, restorative approaches and an understanding of rights, responsibilities and fairness.

Individual liberty is promoted through encouraging children to make informed choices, express their views respectfully and develop confidence and independence within a safe and supportive environment. Mutual respect and tolerance are fostered through our inclusive ethos, relationships with others, Religious Education, PSHE, anti-racism work, safeguarding curriculum and opportunities to learn about diverse cultures, communities and beliefs.
