Climb for Daniel – A Remarkable Achievement
We’re delighted to share a wonderful update from Max Barber following his recent climb of Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Although extremely high winds meant that the final summit attempt wasn’t possible, Max achieved an incredible height of 4,050 metres, a huge accomplishment in such challenging conditions.
During the ascent, Max was able to take a special photograph of the laminated Brockley poster at the mountain refuge at 3,200 metres, which may well be the highest Brockley has ever reached! It was a powerful moment that perfectly reflected our school motto and the courage, determination and perseverance behind Max’s journey.
You'll remember Max undertook the climb in memory of his cousin Daniel and to raise funds for Marie Curie, whose care and support meant so much to Daniel and his family. We are incredibly proud of what Max has achieved and grateful that he carried Brockley with him on such a meaningful adventure.
Please see the booking and information form for the HAF at Brockley this February. Booking is required directly via the organiser and you will require our school's unique code: 8302046IAM2026DCC

IMPORTANT SCHOOL UPDATE 06.01.26
We have managed to source heaters for school to support us through the cold spell while we await the boiler repair.
Please note the following arrangements for the remainder of this week:
Zebra Class should enter and leave school through the office entrance, as they are currently learning in the hall.
Monkey Class should enter as usual through their regular gate.
All other classes should enter the building as normal.
Lunch arrangements:
Lunch will be provided. However, due to an issue in the kitchen, the menu may vary. Parents are welcome to send their child a flask containing warm food if they wish as part of their packed lunch.
Uniform:
Please ensure your child comes to school dressed warmly, including their school jumper/cardigan and warm socks.
PE:
Please note that PE will not be taking place this week for any class, as the hall is currently being used as a classroom.
Breakfast Club and Miss Barbers Club are all still running this week – book as usual via the links sent at the weekend.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Thank you for your continued support as we navigate this tricky time in school.
