Emotional Health, Well-Being and Keeping Safe

Brockley Primary School worked closely with Derbyshire County Council in developing SMILERS., the whole school approach to mental health and well-being. We are proud to be a SMILERS School and our school council lead on this area supported by Mrs Rodgers.

Emotional health and mental wellbeing affect all aspects of our lives and health choices. Mental well-being is about feeling good and functioning well, as individuals and as communities. It is also about our ability to cope with life’s challenges and making the most of life’s opportunities.

Please visit the page to find out more and watch the video – do you recognise any of the voices? We are delighted to announce that our Y5 & 6 children are the voice of SMILERS!

Are you worried about online sexual abuse or the way someone has been communicating with you online?

Wherever you see the link above you can click the button to report your concerns about online safety concerning someone you know and are worried about.

Mental Health Week 2024

Help give a voice to children and young people across the UK in Children’s Mental Health Week, from 5-11 February 2024.

Children's Mental Health Week is a mental health awareness week that empowers, equips and gives a voice to all children and young people in the UK.

Everyone can take part in Children’s Mental Health Week! Download our free resources for schools and families and find out how you can take part to raise vital funds and awareness for children’s mental health.

Children's Mental Health Week was launched in 2015 and each year, hundreds of schools, children, parents and carers take part. Now in its 10th year, our theme is ‘My Voice Matters’.
