Teaching & Learning Assistant Vacancy

Due to unexpected circumstances Brockley Primary School wishes to appoint a talented, dynamic and creative teaching assistant to join the team from April 2024 (or as soon as possible after this date). The successful candidate will join an experienced, happy and supportive staff committed to ensuring that our children reach their full potential.

We’re looking for someone who will: 

• Engage and motivate pupils.

• Support the emotional well-being of our children and ensure they have a sense of belonging.

• Improve the quality of pupils’ learning.

• Work as part of a team to support all children.

• Demonstrate empathy with and an appreciation of the needs of pupils.

• Be committed to making a real difference to the lives of young people with special educational needs and their families / carers.

The role will involve: 

• Supporting the SEMH of our children.

• Supporting children with their learning.

• Supporting with curriculum subjects.

The TA may take responsibility for planning or leading regular groups/sessions, agreed between the TA and teacher, and supported by the Headteacher
