The Leadership Group at Brockley Primary School must lead by example at all times in their behaviour, the respect they show to others and their school uniform. Their role is varied and to be awarded this school badge is considered to be a real privilege.

The Leadership Group and Head Girl at Brockley Primary School take on many roles and have many responsibilities, such as:

• Working with classes

• Energy savers, turning lights off at playtimes/dinner times

• Working alongside teachers to promote positive behaviour throughout the school

• Leading classes and supporting others around the school

• Helping to set up the hall for assemblies

• Showing visitors around the school

Why We Have a Leadership Group & Girl at Brockley Primary School…

As part of our citizenship education, we believe that children need to experience duties and responsibilities that come with being a member of a community in order to help them prepare to play an active role as citizens.

At Brockley we believe that  the Leadership Group & Head Girl have a very important role to play in the day to day organisation of our school and as only pupils nominated by staff are allowed this position, it is considered to be very prestigious. The position not only allows the pupils selected to lead by example and demonstrate their responsibility regardless of age.

Their badge will be expected be worn every day. The Leadership Group and Head Girl are expected to take full responsibility for their badge and not to lose it through carelessness.
