Welcome
Welcome to Brockley Primary School
‘The Brockley Way – Only My Best is Good Enough’
Welcome to The Brockley School Family!
We are proud to be an Attachment and Relationship Aware School
Brockley Primary School is a safe, welcoming and nurturing school that offers a sense of belonging. We are a growing and improving school and we pride ourselves that we know each and every child inside out. We do our best to help each child find their strengths and talents so that they will flourish and be challenged.
Our school motto ‘The Brockley Way – Only my best is good enough’ is at the heart of our philosophy; we support this through nurturing pupils’ creativity, encouraging independent thinking and learning and showing that failure can be a learning opportunity.
We work closely with our families to ensure that all children achieve their potential across our community, having relentlessly high expectations of ourselves and others.
We are innovative, aspirational and consistent in our holistic approach, constantly reflecting on our practice. We try to make learning creative, stimulating, inclusive and fun with lots of challenge, setting ambitious goals for the future.
We offer our children a vast range of opportunities to light the spark of their learning, giving them the skills and tools they need to take off and fly!
We believe working collaboratively with other schools is extremely beneficial as it helps our staff reflect and adapt their practice, so that we improve our school’s approach to teaching and learning – which leads to improved outcomes for our children. Working in this way also provides a platform where we can share and celebrate what we are good at too.
‘The Bolsover Excellence Schools Trust – BEST‘ is one of the collaborations we are part of. This collaboration consists of 10 geographically local schools working together within a set of shared values, principles and purposes. As a collective we challenge and support our schools within the trust, on their journey to excellence through an agreed Memorandum of Understanding and a robust action plan based on an external review of data and school performance as both individuals and as a collective.
