World Kindness Day 13.11.24

On Wednesday we will be celebrating World Kindness Day at Brockley Primary School.

During the assembly we will cover:

What World Kindness Day is and why we celebrate it.

What do we mean by 'kindness'?

Why kindness is important, including the role it plays in creating strong, supportive communities.

The science of kindness and the impact it has on our physical and mental health.

Different ways we can show kindness, with an emphasis on empathy.

We will touch on this year’s Anti-Bullying Week theme ‘Choose Respect.’

We will set the children a kindness challenge, which they can complete after the assembly (or at a time to suit your school). This activity will be about spreading kindness to other people in their life / school using this printable ‘spreading kindness’ activity sheet (or they can use their own paper).

At the end of the assembly, we will be opening nominations for our Kindness Awards and letting you know how we can get involved.
