    Rules for motorists at a zebra crossing

     

    5. Pedestrian crossings (191 to 199)

    You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines. You MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest the crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing which has stopped to give way to pedestrians.

    In slow-moving and queuing traffic you should keep crossings completely clear, as blocking these makes it difficult and dangerous for pedestrians to cross. You should not enter a pedestrian crossing if you are unable to completely clear the crossing. Nor should you block advanced stop lines for cycles.

  • NSPCC Speak out Stay Safe Assembly

    Tickets are priced at £2.00 per adult and £1.00 per child (if seated), refreshments will be available.  Please contact the office to order tickets.

  • Remembrance Day Service 11.11.22 at 10:45am

    The Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal will begin in school on Monday 31st October and end on Friday 11th November. Items range in price from as little as 10p to £2 and will be available at drop off for adults and playtime for children to purchase.

    We will hold our Service of Remembrance and 2-minute silence outside in front of the war plaques from 10:45am on Friday 11th November - families are welcome to join us.

  • Brockley's Got Talent

    Roll up, rollup for the most exciting and entertaining show, you have ever seen!

     

    Brockley Primary School is delighted to host their fantastic and incredible annual talent show. Prepare to be dazzled by music and magic, cry tears of laughter and joy and be amazed by the truly wonderfully talented children of Brockley!

     

    Children from all classes across the school can perform any act they like, either as an individual or group as long as it is 3 minutes or under, age appropriate. Acts must provide all their own music and resources (please check song lyrics and dance moves are appropriate) and must fit on the stage.

     

    An entrance fee of £2 per child is payable for all acts taking part and must be sent into school by Friday11th November.

     

    So, children get practicing we cannot wait to see the talent Brockley school has to offer.

  • Applying for an infant/primary school place

    The application process for the 2023/24 reception intake opens on the 7th November 2022. 

     

    Leaflets regarding this process will be sent home on Monday 7th November 2022, this guidance is for the parents of children born between 1st September 2018 and 31 August 2019 who are eligible to start school during the 2023/2024 academic year.  

     

    Applications can be made online by visiting www.derbyshire.gov.uk/admissions and will be available from 9am on the 7th November 2022.  For those parents without access to the internet, you can apply by phone by ringing Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
