Many thanks to those parents that responded to the After-School Club interest form.

 

We are delighted to share that due to demand and bookings the club will run Monday to Thursday from 3:10pm until 4:45pm starting Monday 4th September.

 

The club will not run on Friday afternoons as no families booked this option.

 

If you haven't managed to book or missed the original email with the booking link/QR code this will be resent/shared shortly.

 

SPORTS DAY UPDATE: We are going ahead with the sporting activities this morning and will endeavour to get through them as quickly as we can (hopefully) before the forecast rain!

We are changing things based on the weather for the afternoon.

Parents: to leave after the sports events/when rain commences and we are forced to stop for safety reasons.

Children: To stay for the afternoon as the disco/talent show, face painting, glitter tattoos and treats move inside. Children do not need money for any of the end of term treats!

Raffle: tickets will be on sale this morning £1 a strip.

Brockley Primary School

 

After feedback and discussions with families we would like to offer a daily after-school club that eases the minds of busy parents trying to arrange child care after school. 

 

Therefore, we are delighted to be able to offer a daily club ran by Brockley staff. 

 

Brockley's After-School Club

 

Monday to Friday (termtime only)

 

3:10pm until 4:45pm

 

Each session is £6 per child

 

Places must be booked in advance

Payment is via Parentpay or the School Office. 

 

With regards clubs by staff for Young Voices and Booster these will be offered as usual during the autumn terms - dates to be announced soon.

 

 

If we cannot generate enough interest from families then sadly we will not be able to launch the service.

Reminder for tomorrow:

 

• All Year 5 children will visit The Bolsover School tomorrow.
• Children should arrive at the usual time of 8:40am and be collected at 3pm from Brockley
• A bus has been booked and all Year 5 children will spend the day at the school - Mrs Leivers and Mrs Shirley will be attending with the children.
• Year 5 Students will need to:
  • Wear their school PE kit
  • Bring a packed lunch, a snack for break-time and a
  bottle of water
  • Wear a sun hat and sun cream

Summer Holiday Activity and Food Programme 2023

Bolsover District Council, in partnership with Old Bolsover Town Council, Pinxton Parish Council and Brockley Primary School, bring a fun packed summer of activities for children aged 5-14 years. Sessions will take place in Bolsover, Pinxton and Shuttlewood, dates times and venues can be found via this booking form link…

Activities on offer are…

• Traditional Sports and Games including Football, Dodgeball and Cricket
• Crazy Golf
• Climbing Wall
• Trips to Pleasley Vale Outdoor Activity Centre

 

Children will also have the opportunity to make their own healthy lunches.

Friday 14th July - Festival/Sports in a Day

 

The Sports/Festival in a Day will have the same format as in previous years.

Gate to the field opens at 9am for parents to find their spot and get ready for the 9:30am start of the sporting events.

 

Children can have lunch with their families and then from 1pm there's glitter tattoos, face painting, disco and talent show.

 

This year we have a company selling food and drinks.

 

We are hoping to have a special guest joining us (fingers crossed)

 

This is all weather dependent (see back up date on school calendar)

Friday 7th July - Non-Uniform Day for all!
