Latest Strike Action Dates for April 27th and May 2nd
Thu 27 Apr 2023Dear Brockley Families,
National Education Union (NEU) Industrial Action - Please read carefully.
All schools have been sent guidance from the Department of Education and Derbyshire County Council with regards to the planned teacher strikes.
I am able to confirm that following notification from the NEU members in school, ONLY Zebra Class will be affected by the intended strike action on the Thursday 27th April and Tuesday 2nd May.
No other classes are affected.
To try to minimise the impact on children and parents the following arrangements will need to be in place.
On Thursday 27th April and Tuesday 2nd May Little Zebra children (Nursery) should attend school as normal for the morning session, 8:40am gates open as usual.
Little Zebra children (Nursery) should attend school and be collected at the usual time and place of 11:50am.
Big Zebra children (Reception) should NOT attend school on these dates.
The school office will be open as usual, should you need to contact us.
With regards to possible further action and dates, I will be in touch when I am able to confirm which staff are taking part in the industrial action.

Mrs Rodgers meets with Angelique Foster Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner
Fri 21 Apr 2023Mrs Rodgers spent Thursday with Angelique Foster Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner at a Headteacher event for North East Derbyshire schools. It was an interesting day and Mrs Rodgers is hoping the Commissioner will come and visit Brockley soon.

COMPASS Parent Support Group

Lyndsey & Lucy will be visiting school to offer support and advice to Brockley families.
How the service can help you
We help you build your skills to cope with: Low mood; sadness, low motivation; Mild to moderate anxiety; worries, irrational fears and concerns; Common challenging behaviours: angry outbursts, pushing boundaries, frustration and distress Family and peer relationship difficulties; Difficulty adjusting to change and transition; Difficulty managing emotions.
We provide low intensity CBT either one-to-one or in a group setting (usually 6-8 sessions based on what you need) for children and young people aged 5-18.
The service is made up of Education Mental Health Practitioners, Mental Health Practitioners and Supervising Practitioners from a range of health and education backgrounds.
